Hand Over A Bunch Of Bananas For A Free Copy Of Donkey Kong: Country Returns

In celebration of the highly anticipated release of Donkey Kong: Country Returns, Nintendo Europe has announced a rather interesting way for fans to bag a free copy of the game on its launch day -- simply hand over a bunch of bananas.

Nintendo of Europe has teamed up with leading UK game retailers GAME and Gamestation to award free copies of the game to the first 20 people who present a bunch of bananas at participating stores.

The three stores that will be hosting this interesting competition are as follows:


•GAME: Oxford Street, London
•GAME: Merry Hill, Dudley
•GameStation: Prospect Centre, Hull
A spokesperson for GAME said:

"Donkey Kong is as crazy about bananas as ever in this new take on a classic game. They’re a kind of currency, so why not let Donkey Kong’s biggest fans use them to buy the game?
